For those who may be unfamiliar, B Corporation certification is no easy feat. To become a certified B Corp, companies must meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. The certification process assesses a company’s impact on its employees, community, customers, suppliers, and the environment. Furthermore, B Corps are required to recertify every three years, ensuring their commitment to continuous progress and sustainable practices.
At Standing CT, we have always been proud of our B Corp certification, which reflects our unwavering dedication to ethical business practices and our responsibility as a corporate citizen. Our initial certification score of 98 was already a testament to our commitment, considering that the minimum score for certification is 80, and the average company score is 51.
As part of our ongoing mission to make a positive difference, we set ourselves a challenging objective during the recertification process: to improve our score by 15%. Today, we stand tall with a sense of accomplishment as we announce that not only have we met our goal, but we have surpassed it with an incredible improvement of 26%!
