Standing CT is pleased to announce that the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (ROH) in Birmingham is now using our innovative mobile HiRise scanner to deliver 3D orthopaedic imaging to ROH patients.
The HiRise scanner is the first low-radiation, weight-bearing CT scanner to scan from hip to toe as well as upper extremities. This novel technology allows lower limb orthopaedic surgeons to see 3D images of their patients standing in a functional position.
The radiation dosage of the HiRise scanner, which uses Conebeam CT technology, is approximately 1/20th of a conventional CT scan and the equivalent of an X-ray set.
Implementation of this Standing CT mobile scanning service means ROH can deliver cutting edge technology to its patients to improve care and outcomes.
